NOTICE
ONLY Healthcare Coalition of Texas Members and employees are given a username and password to access restricted content including discussion forums, file sharing, event registration and membership directory.
FIRST TIME USERS
If you are a member or employee of Healthcare Coalition of Texas, as of March 1, 2010, a username was created on your behalf in the format of firstname.lastname, e.g. John.Doe. To login for the first time follow these steps:
- Enter your username in the following format firstname.lastname
- Click 'Set my password'. You will also need to complete the Captcha field. These actions initiate an automated email that will be sent to your email address containing a temporary password. This automated email will be sent to you from hcotx.com - if you do not receive the email, make sure to check your spam or junk email folder. Please contact us if you need assistance.
- If you have difficulty reading the Captcha words, you have three options.
The refresh button generates a new set of words to try.
The audio button will say the words.
The help button displays additional help instructions.
- Copy and paste that emailed password into the field - along with your username (firstname.lastname).
- Click the 'Change my password' link. This will bring you to a screen that allows you to select a new password that you will remember. Be sure to also fill out the Captcha field before clicking 'Reset password'.
- After you Login, please review the account management page to check and update your profile information.
REQUESTING A USER NAME
If you are a new employee of a Healthcare Coalition of Texas member hospital, you may request a password through the contact form. Only Healthcare Coalition members and employees may receive a username and password.
FORGOTTEN USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS
All usernames follow the format of John.Doe. If you do not remember your password, please complete the following steps:
- You may enter your username and select the "Lost my password' link. You will also need to complete the Captcha field.
- Click on 'Reset password' to initiate an automated email that will be sent to your email address containing a temporary password. This automated email will be sent from hcotx.com - if you do not receive the email, make sure to check your spam or junk email folder.
- Copy and paste that password into the field - along with your username. Please contact us if you need assistance.
- After you log on with the temporary password, please click the 'Change my password' link. This will bring you to a screen that allows you to select a password you will remember. Be sure to fill out the Captcha field and click 'Reset password'.
